Impossibly intricate flora and fauna;
Cold waves lapping on feet;
Twirling conversations with my daughters;
Ideas spark and flow from every moment of this magical life.
I work and tinker and build on that magic; reconstructing ideas into characters and worlds and stories, creating a new kind of magic: books!
Humor, heart, fantasy, and character-driven fun are the backbone of my finished stories.
I use a variety of tools to create: pencil and watercolor for sketching; gouache and mixed media for paint; photography; collage; sculptures and dioramas; digital programs for the completed images.
